The Free Board is a wireless, remote-controlled skateboard. It is available in two sizes--shortboard (Free Board 1) and longboard (Free Board 2)--and includes an elastic wrist strap so the control remains securely in your hand. The remote control uses 2 AAA batteries (included) that are good for approximately five rides. Purchasing rechargeable batteries is recommended as you will need fresh batteries every five outings. The Free Board is recharged after every ride by simply connecting it to its charger, which is wall-based and identical to how a cellular phone is recharged. A 7-mile ride is possible per charge.
The Free Board rides at three controllable speeds. The white button requests slow speed (7 mph), the blue button requests medium speed ( 11 mph) and the green button requests high speed ( 15 mph). The yellow button causes light braking and the red button causes hard braking.
